Our Studio Productions is a high-end professional photography studio located in a safe-haven in New Jersey. The studio is nestled between two other businesses, in a quiet neighborhood with lots of eateries with outdoor dining. We are product photographers with over 25 years of experience, photographing ALL kinds of products. Jewelry is one of our favorites to photograph with lighting to enhance and bring out the sparkle.

White backgrounds. A must for e-commerce online sales.

When photographing even the seemingly most simple things for the web, we need pure white backgrounds 98% of the time. By pure white I mean 255% white. How it is accomplished is within Photoshop a pen tool is used to draw around the item, and selecting the path, and filling the outside area with nothing or and white. This process is sometimes difficult depending on the item's shape, texture and degrees of opacity. 

It's just one of the requirements of e-commerce photography. The other is good quality images. Several reasons for this: To stand out, for zooming, overall appearance and what the image quality says about your commitment to your product line. With so many e-commerce sites out there, you really need to stand out from the crowd and use professional photographs to highlight your company from others. A continuity of images, shot/photographed with the same quality as the one next to it.

Jewelry Dressed for Advertising

As photographers we definitely have our favorite things to photograph, and as women we do like jewelry photography. That does not mean it is easy by any means, just nice to look at. When photographing jewelry we take a very methodical approach. Also, a thoughtful one. On occasion we are asked to come with the background ideas, and our thoughts on how to best show their jewelry product line. Usually, these days we go with a white background, and then we remove the background, otherwise know as a path. That way our clients can take it off the background in Photoshop and put it on any type of background the like, or furthermore for selling on Amazon.

Just because I said we especially like photographing jewelry doesn't mean we don't photograph all other types products. Like for instance: industrial, home accessories, healthcare and more.
