Lighting for a white rug may appear to be simple, but it is far from it. We need to see the texture, depth and quality, and light to room to bring this ‘Lifestyle’ image to life. Too much light, you lose the depth and texture, too little and it will turn grey. A fine balance is needed.

We are professional product photographers located in Scotch Plains, NJ. Commercial product photography is what we do, and been doing it for over 25 years, providing high-res images and creativity when needed. OSP photography works with advertising agencies and online private sellers alike.

Professional photography is a process, not just taking a picture. To capture a product of any kind, special attention to lighting is key. Safe Contactless Photo Shoots

Our Studio Productions takes the health and safety of all members of our community and clients very seriously. Therefore, OSP photography will provide photo-shoots preferably without our clients being present. If you need to drop off products, we will have a door between us to ensure no direct human contact, by placing your packages at our studio door, then we can then safely bring them in wearing gloves and masks.

All directions and shoot lists can be accurately followed by conversations and digital transfer of images between us. Just a new way to conduct a professional photo-shoot.

Restaurants are feeling the pain of no dining in their establishments, and are finding online orders to be of some help. If you are in need of food photography for online menus, let’s see if we can be of help by scheduling a safe photoshoot.

Photography during the corona virus will not be as different as we may think. Usually, we have product shipments, and maybe surprisingly never ever meet our clients in person. You ship, we shoot, and ship it back. Simple.

They may rent studios and equipment for a day or several for a photoshoot, but that means the costs are passed along to you. The importance of professionally lighting any product cannot be stressed enough. Can you or your mother take a picture, well yes of course! Will the grain and color be captured accurately? Maybe not so much. 

Our Studio Productions is using this image of a wood table with square metal inserts as an example of how lighting can bring out detail. Here the wood grain is very important. The color of the wood is another aspect of selling this table to a customer. It needs to be accurate and look fabulous! Product photography can be very exciting. Even photographing a screw or door hardware, by using lighting to emphasize the beauty or importance of the subject matter.

While most commercial photography is creative, you would be surprised just how much a simple product shot / capture / image / picture can be.  First of all the product can be styled in such a way that, as it should draws the consumer in for a closer look. Our Studio Productions uses flash photography lighting to capture all the important details of an item. While literally anyone with a camera can shoot a picture of a product, but with e-commerce you need a professional photographer with the lighting skills to really see details, and with zoom capabilities. High resolution is also important so your photo can be blown up, zoomed into and keep it's resolution. Color is another extremely important feature we an achieve with our super hi-res files.
