Store Closings Cause Need to Sell Online

For almost two months most retail stores have had to close temporarily. At least that is what they thought. Some are closed for good. OSP has been through some really difficult times, and have thought after losing a major client, 85% of our work, we’d have to close.

Knowing what that is like, having to reinvent ourselves, find another way through a bad time, boy we can sympathize.

If your store is closing, or you have merchandise you need to sell online we can be of help, with our Scotch Plains, NJ photography studio, having only ‘Contact-less’ photoshoots. Ship or drop off at our door, we can meet you and practice social distancing, wearing of course masks!

Lets face it we all believe at some point in our lives that, "We can do that!" But, delegating to others that actually know how to do 'that', is usually the better course to take. Talking here, about capturing images that are really good. Professionally good. Better yet, great. It comes down to cost, and we understand that for people not in the business (Advertising Agencies, photography, Commercial Ad Agencies...) are often shocked by what it can cost for a professional photoshoot. There is a huge difference in believe or not your phone's picture quality and a professional photographer's high-end digital camera. Really. I am not saying you could not get a decent shot of your product, but not industry standards for selling online.

Photo shoots with ad agencies are very different these days. With virtual software we can pretty much be at a shoot together whether you are in Florida or California, or for that matter anywhere in the world. As long as there is internet. 

In the past, account executives, art directors and sometimes the client were often on set for the shoot. It was a time of interaction, actual face time and getting to know one another. Relationships were built and usually an ad agency - photographer connection was made. Knowing many of our clients for over 30 years at this point is common for us, and other studios. 

Now in 2018 not so much with the gathering at the photo shoots. Even though we are extremely easy to get to, from anyway in the tri-state area, most clients do not choose attend the shoots. E-mail digitally delivery of images is extremely efficient and easy. We use WeTransfer for our digital deliveries: http://www.wetranser.com.  Our clients find this very easy to use.  :)
